qualified PCU RN in Ranson, West Virginia, 25438 About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: SCU/Telemetry -
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour
Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM, rotating weekends and holidays Guaranteed
Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License:
Valid RN License Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA) required;
PALS and NIHSS are a plus Must-Have: - Fully vaccinated against
COVID-19 with Moderna, Pfizer, or Johnson & Johnson, or have an
approved medical or religious exemption - Positive attitude and
willingness to work Job Description: - Provide high-quality nursing
care in a 10-bed unit, consisting of 5 ICU and 5 Telemetry beds. -
Manage patient ratios of 1:3-5, depending on acuity. - Utilize Epic
Systems Corporation's EpicCare Inpatient EMR for documentation. -
Collaborate with hospitalists and family medicine residents for
patient care. - Administer ventilator, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow
oxygen therapy. - Work with a team including RT available 24/7, and
coordinate with pharmacy for high-frequency drips. - Follow a
rotating schedule including 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week cycle and
major holidays as per unit rotation. - Float to MedSurg with a full
assignment (ratios 1:5-6) as needed; floating is rare. - Attend a
one-shift orientation on the unit with a preceptor. - Maintain
professionalism with attire, wearing navy blue scrubs, with neat
and clean appearance standards. - Utilize Philips Cardiac Monitors
in ICU, and manage up to 16 tele packs. Candidates are expected to
maintain a professional demeanor, cover any excessive or
distasteful tattoos, and ensure a natural hair color, avoiding
