currently looking for a Psychiatrist to fill an opening at emergency department
for a major tertiary care center.-- Academic
affiliation and rank possible with Georgetown University.--Responsibilities of the Psychiatrist------------------
Full-time and part-time position------------------
Provide treatment to adult
patients------------------
Treat patients in outpatient
setting------------------
Flexible Hours --- 7 days on/7days
off model------------------
Weekend call schedule 1:6------------------
ED admissions------------------
Perform Evaluations and Medical
Checks medical and behavioral health units------------------
Provide Education to patients,
families, and the community------------------
Perform other duties as required--Requirements of the Psychiatrist------------------
MD or DO------------------
Completion of an accredited
Psychiatry residency program------------------
Eligible for license for the
practice of medicine in the State of District of Columbia------------------
Board certification/eligibility in
Psychiatry------------------
Experience with EMR medical
software------------------
