TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified NICU RN in Clinton, Maryland, 20735 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: NICU Job Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: Experience: 2 years required License: Valid State License required for the respective location Certifications: BLS, NRP, and STABLE Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred, one prior travel assignment with solid NICU experience Job Description: - Work in a nursery unit with babies born at or after 32 weeks who require a higher level of care but do not need NICU. - Patient ratio of 1:3. - Dysrhythmia interpretation and management proficiency. - Administer IV antibiotics and manage vasopressors during codes. - Handle insulin administration and titration. - Manage central lines and draw blood cultures. - Ventilator management and CPAP expertise. - Start peripheral IVs. - Experience with Care Management Software (such as Cerner). - Act as Charge Nurse as needed. - Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity. - Weekend and holiday rotation as needed. - Flu vaccine mandatory; no exemptions allowed. - Participate in an orientation program of 28 hours, with modules included before start. Note: Candidates must have gone through a minimum gap of one year if previously employed.
