first three years of their employment.The OpportunityThe Evergreen
School is seeking a dynamic individual to lead activity planning
and support our after-school childcare program for Prekindergarten
to 8th grade students. In this role, you will also assist in
facilitating lunch breaks for our Seedlings Childcare Program. We
are looking for someone who is comfortable supervising extended
care staff and ensuring they adhere to the standards and practices
established by the Evergreen School. Join us in creating a

is an in-person, hourly, 12-month position, working 40 hours/week.
During the school year, working hours for this position are Monday
to Friday 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with an unpaid 30-minute break.
During the summer, working hours for this position are Monday to
Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Auxiliary Programs Director to supervise
hourly extended care staff, ensuring compliance with established
policies and procedures.
- Design and implement a dynamic calendar of age-appropriate
activities for all extended care sessions, both before and after
school.
- Plan, organize, and procure necessary materials for engaging
extended care activities.
- Curate a diverse selection of age-appropriate activities for
all age groups, rotating options weekly to keep students
engaged.
- Manage the Extended Care phone line and ensure students safely
transition to their designated rides home.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians
regarding their children's care and activities.
- Provide support to extended care teachers by problem-solving
and assisting with student behavior management, fostering a
collaborative team environment.
- Serve as a substitute when needed, stepping in for teachers who
are absent.
- Supervise and engage with children in a safe and playful manner
during activities.
- Monitor recess to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for
all students.
- Coordinate with Seedlings Childcare teachers to facilitate
their lunch breaks, ensuring seamless coverage.
- Assist infants and toddlers with lunchtime, diaper changes, and
naptime, providing attentive care.
- Work collaboratively with Seedlings Childcare teachers to
address childcare needs from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
- Ensure compliance with WA State Department of Early Learning
requirements and childcare licensing regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall mission
of the program.Experience, Education and Desirable SkillsStudies

- Proven experience in planning and implementing activities for
school-age children, with a strong understanding of child
development principles.
- Leadership experience is highly desirable, particularly in
guiding and supervising a team.
- Experience with infant and toddler care is preferred.

to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and the
community.
- A demonstrated commitment to anti-bias and anti-racism
initiatives, fostering a diverse and inclusive learning
environment.
- Ability to engage and respond effectively to diverse
differences, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, national
origin, geography, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation,

status.Salary Range: The salary range for this position is
$24.20-$25.20 per hour depending on experience.Physical
Requirements: Able to lift up to 35 pounds; move around campus, can
stand for long periods of time, walk and climb stairs; can sit and
work in front of computer screens and talk on telephone for long
periods of time; able to use hands for repetitive tasks such as
typing; must be able to work outside during inclement
