Job Description:
Job Description BAE Systems is looking for a self-motivated and
experienced Systems Engineer / Systems Administrator to be an
on-site engineering representative at an operational Navy customer
facility located at the Navy Washington Planning Center, Washington
Navy Yard, DC. The selected candidate will perform a wide variety
of tasks for the Targeting and Navigation Toolset (TNT) program.
Primary responsibilities are in the areas of Systems
Administration, Cybersecurity/Information Assurance, and Site
Support/Help Desk Support. The position may require travel to other
user, customer, BAE Systems and co-developing contractor sites.
This may include overseas travel. The position may also require
work outside normal duty hours, which may include evenings,
weekends and/or holidays in support of customer exercises and/or
real world crisis situations.Responsibilities include:
Administering and maintaining three
suites of PC clients running Windows, Microsoft Office, TMPC
software and other 3rd party COTS/GOTSAdministering and maintaining
servers running Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Linux, TMPC
software and other 3rd party COTS/GOTS running in a virtualized
environmentAdministering and maintaining NAS and SAN storage
devices and other network hardware (NetApp)Managing
warranty/inventory/service activity for above assetsInstalling and
configuring hardware (client PCs, servers, network storage devices,
networks)Installing and configuring Microsoft/Windows operating
systems, TNT/TMPC program software, as well as 3rd party
COTS/GOTSTracking and installing periodic software security updates
and patchesProviding help desk support to on-site Navy DoD
civilians and military personnel regarding use of TNT/TMPC
enterprise computing environmentInterfacing with external users and
other on-site contractors regarding TNT/TMPC enterprise computing
environmentProviding clear and concise status reporting in support
of programmatic documentation requirementsUpdating and maintaining
system installation procedures and system administration
documentation for customer facilitySuggesting and making changes to
improve system configurations, installation processes, and system
performanceMaintain security posture for workstations, servers and
storage units.Because of the need for consistent, in-person
collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due
to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed
full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at
a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. Please note that pursuant
to a government contract, this specific position requires US
citizenship status.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Security+ Certification (minimum), Red Hat Linux certification
and Microsoft/Windows OS certificationsSelf-starter, must be
flexible and able to work effectively with limited
supervisionStrong Microsoft Client and Server OS installation and
administration experienceExperience with Domain Controllers, to
include account configuration and maintenance, DNS configuration
and GPO's (Group Policy Objects) knowledgeExperience with
supporting classified networks and using classification
guidesExperience with cybersecurity/information assurance processes
and proceduresProficiency in Microsoft/Windows system security and
patch managementGood problem solving skills and experience in
troubleshooting Microsoft/Windows operating system
administrationTeam player with a proactive attitude and the ability
to be productive in a dynamic, collaborative environmentAbility to
communicate effectively (verbal & written) with Navy customer (DoD
civilians and military personnel) and other Navy contractorsAbility
to communicate effectively (verbal & written) with software
developers and systems engineersFamiliarity with MS Office
products: Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelHigh level of personal

Familiarization with Risk Management
Framework (RMF) to include Secure Technical Implementation Guide
(STIG) application, as well as Security Content Automation Protocol
(SCAP) and NESSUS scanningExperience with and/or working knowledge
of the following documentation: NISPOM, ODAA Technical Guide, DSS
Assessments and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM)Knowledge and
skills to support integrating TNT/TMPC systems with other systems
(JTT, iSToRE, MIDB, NGA Libraries, EFD, etc.) in support of the
Navy customer facilityExperience with and/or working knowledge of
various reconnaissance collection systems, imagery products and
photogrammetric theory/techniquesKnowledge of database
systemsFamiliarity with GIS software and database technology
Experience with server and client virtualization, RHV, Hyper-V,
VMwareFamiliarity with HBSS\\ESS working environmentFamiliarization
with the installation and administration of shared network storage
devicesFamiliarization with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)Strong
understanding of computer hardware and hardware troubleshooting
experienceStrong understanding of shared NAS and SAN storage

- $128480Please note: This range is based on our market pay
structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a
variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
